Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a biologic material derived entirely from a patient’s own blood, used to support healing during periodontal and implant procedures.
A small blood sample is drawn at the time of treatment and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors into a dense fibrin matrix — without any additives or synthetic processing.
PRF may be incorporated into a variety of procedures, utilized as a source of growth factors or replacement for a gum graft. PRF can support the body’s natural healing response and has even been shown to reduce postoperative discomfort.
